On September 5, 2025, an intense girl’s volleyball tournament took place at Radford High School’s gymnasium. The schools Waianae and Radford faced each other and brought their all to the game. In triumph, our school’s White Varsity volleyball team took home the win. The team scored their winning points and successfully won two out of three sets against Waianae.
“I had high expectations and hopes for our team to win, and I was confident our players could lead our team to a victory,” Kayliana Fontenot said.
Kayliana Fontenot is a freshman on the Girl’s White Varsity team, and she plays the positions “middle-back” and “outside.”
“I think our team will pull off a great amount of wins this season,” said Kayliana Fontenot.
Kayliana feels confident in her team and she anticipates the best for them, as she’s very eager to continue playing with them until the end of the season.
Alamea Corpuz is a freshman at Radford High. She reports her experience watching the game.
“The atmosphere of the gym was very supportive and spirited. There were also some tense moments during the game,” said Alamea Corpuz.
When asked if she thought our Lady Rams would take the lead, Alamea expressed she had some doubts but was overly impressed and taken aback by their victory.
“I didn’t think the Lady Rams would win against the Sea Riders because Waianae did win against Leilehua before the Radford Match,” Alamea said.
The season for girl’s volleyball has just begun, and our white varsity team shows promise and has high hopes for their own selves. The girl’s volleyball team works hard to bring pride to our school.
