Movie Review: Lawless Entertains Masses

Lawless is a drama about the famous Bondurants Brothers of Franklin County, VA. It’s based on Matt Bondurant’s book “The Wettest County In The World,” which is fueled by facts.

The story takes place during the 1920s prohibition and is about the boys’ boot-legging business. With an experienced cast of Shia LeBeouf, Tom Hardy, Jason Clarke, Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, and Guy Pearce, it was a great movie.

The story follows the lives of the rough and rugged Bondurant Brothers and their illegal business. The quiet and intimidating Forrest takes the place of boss while Howard is always ready for some fun though he can be crazy when he wants to be.

Jack, played by Shia LeBeouf, is the youngest and most inexperienced of the three. He’s constantly running his mouth which only gets him into trouble. When he finally comes to his senses and does what needs to be done, some might be upset that it took him so long in the first place.

The ending is something I think all audiences will be satisfied with, but to find out what that ending might be, you’ll just have to watch it yourself.
