Ms. Brylee Puchalski is Radford’s new Marine Science teacher. From U.H. Manoa to Farrington to now Radford, Mrs. Puchalski has come a long way to bring the joy of science to students.
When asked why she chose Marine Science, Ms. Puchalski said, “I enjoy teaching Marine Science because the students are excited about the ocean, especially since we live in Hawaii.”
Ms. Puchalski also isn’t new to Hawaii: she earned her degree in business from University of Hawaii. She used to work in the Department of Education as a substitute, became a teacher at Farrington High School, then transferred to Radford last year.
“I wanted to teach at Radford because of the environment that has been created. Everyone is so welcoming and you meet so many new students,” she said.
Ms. Puchalski also said, “Radford is closer to home and I’ve heard many great things about the students, staff and administration.”
When asked for a piece of advice, she said “My piece of advice is that only you are in charge of your future. Teachers and staff are here to influence you but only you decide if you want to show up to class, if you want to learn, if you want to graduate. No one dictates your future but you.”
