From Oct. 20 to Nov. 19, Radford hosted its annual Project Aries to help students plan their graduation and post-high school goals. The two biggest events during Project Aries are Career Day and the Curriculum Fair. The Curriculum Fair’s purpose is to better prepare students for the upcoming school year allowing them to choose classes they may need in order to start their career paths post-high school.

“It is very important to get involved,” said counselor Lisa Johnstone. “Students get a formal idea as to what career path they want to take through their high school years by choosing the classes they need to take in order to get to where they want to be.”

During the Curriculum Fair, students attend various sessions that go into detail about a course hoping to persuade students to select it for the upcoming school year. Giving each student the choice of their sessions makes students really think about what they’d like to do with their futures. Radford being the school that wants all of their students to plan accordingly, hopes that students will select something that they would be interested in next year.

Career Day also has its very own sessions to prepare students more easily and quickly. The Guidance Counselors are always willing to help students prepare for their future, if students are still confused or have any schedule errors.
