Andrew Jones said that he is interested in the culture of Filipino-Americans on the island. As such, Jones who is a first time advisor of the Filipino-American Club, said that he is excited because of the possibilities to help with raising awareness about Filipino-Americans.

Jones said that he plans on “exploring the Filipino life on the island” and has plans for club members to attend the annual Filipino-American festival.

“I want to become more aware,” said Jones.

He also plans to get to know the school’s Filipino-American students better so he can become a better English teacher for them.
