New teacher Randy Beltran may be a new Automotive Technology teacher but is not new to the school nor the industry. An alumnus to the school, he brings decades of experience in the automotive  business.

He owns an automotive shop, since 1995, and has been in the business for over 20 years. He graduated from the Leeward Community College Automotive Student Service Educational Training program.

He said that it is very challenging to become a teacher and that it is a new and interesting experience to be with high school students every day.

When he isn’t working, he plays tennis, surfs, longboards, lifts weights and occasionally boxes for exercise. He also likes to spend time with his family which includes his three children, ages 17, ten, and two.
