Tyler Brown is an Assistant Principal who joined Radford High School’s administration team this school year.

As an administrator,  Brown has a multitude of responsibilities which take him in front of and behind the scenes in order to create a safe environment for faculty and students.

He is easily seen roaming the halls and campus, greeting students, checking students for dress code, and reminding students about wearing their identification badges. He said that his main duties include being visible on campus while supporting the needs of students and teachers.

Brown is a graduate of Kalaheo High School, Windward Community College, and University of Hawaii at Manoa.

“I have a bachelor’s degree in Education and a master’s degree in Educational Psychology,” he said.

During his time at Radford, Brown is struck by the student body’s diversity and number of alumni among the faculty.

“I can tell that what makes Radford great is the diversity of the students and the dedication of the teachers,” he said.  “I have come to realize that there are many teachers that are former graduates of Radford and I think that is pretty awesome.”

Outside of school, Brown said he loves watching and playing sports, and going to the park with his three-year old son.
