With the Thanksgiving holiday in mind, the Sophomore Leadership class participated in a three-week clothes drive to help those in need. Donations were made to the Institute for Human Services.

“It was our first year doing it,” adviser Grant Takiguchi said. “The class collected six big boxes, with a majority of them donated from Student Council. We were pretty successful.”

Sophomores Taylor Leong-Turner and Aidalys Pe Benito created posters, fliers, and boxes promoting the clothes drive.

“My favorite part is getting the clothes for others and I felt great about getting the clothes because it’s for a good cause,” said Leong-Turner. “Also, it’s worthy because we’re helping others in need and I’m glad that everyone participated. Special thanks to Student Council who donated a lot.”

“I felt good about it because I love giving people things who are in need,” Pe Benito said. “I love to help and it was worthy because we’re giving the clothes to others that need it more than we do.”
