Robert Kapuni Patcho is the school’s newest Wood Shop and Building and Construction teacher to the Career Technical Education department.

A former carpenter, Patcho’s work experience also includes being a manager for Hawaii QuikSilver Region.

“This is a good school,” Patcho, a Moanalua High School graduate, said.

“It is an easy transition,” Patcho said because he is also a paddling coach which helped him adjust to his new role as a teacher since he already knew some of the students.

Outside of work, Patcho said that all his hobbies include  “anything to do with the ocean.”
