EDWIN M. KUNIYUKI MEMORIAL SCHOALRSHIP (FEBRUARY 19)

Scholarship amount:  $1,000

Eligibility:  Open to members of the Hawaii Schools Federal Credit Union with a minimum 3.0 gpa.

Requirements:  Completed application, essay, official transcripts, and two letters of recommendation.

CENTRAL UNION CHURCH REWICK EDUCATIONAL FUND (FEBRUARY 29)

Eligibility:  Open to students who have applied to college or specialized training beyond high school.

Requirements:  Completed application, personal statement, resume, two letters of recommendation, and official transcripts.

BUICK ACHIEVERS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (FEBRUARY 29 – 5:00 pm EST)

Eligibility:  Open to high school seniors who plan to enroll full time at a four-year college or university.  Applicants must also plan to major in a specified course of study focused on engineering, technology or design, with an interest in the automotive industry.

SIMON YOUTH COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP (MARCH 1)

Scholarship amount:  $1,500 – $2,500

Eligibility:  Open to students who live within 50 miles of Waikele Premium Outlets and plan on attending college in the fall.

PENNY KOGER SCHOLARSHIP FOR EXCELLENCE IN ACADEMICS AND LEADERSHIP (MARCH 1)

Eligibility: Open to African-American seniors living on Oahu with plans to further his or her education at a four year accredited college or university in the fall.

Requirements:  Completed application, two letters of recommendation, official transcript, essay and wallet sized photo

DUKE KAHANAMOKU FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP (MARCH 1)

Eligibility: Open to students who compete in the sports of canoeing, surfing kayaking, swimming, water polo, or volleyball and plan to compete in college. Applicants must also have a minimum 3.0 gpa, be a Hawaii resident and plan to attend an accredited college or university as a full time student.

Requirements:  Complete the online application, submit official transcripts, two letters of recommendation, athletic resume, a photo, and your Parent’s most recent federal taxes.

FUKUNAGA SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION (MARCH 1)

Scholarship amount: $4,000 per year for four years

Eligibility: Applicants must plan to major in business and have a minimum 3.0 gpa.  

Requirements: Completed application, FAFSA Student Aid Report, official transcripts, and two letters of recommendation.

KONG CHOW BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION (MARCH 1)

Scholarship amount:  $1,000

Eligibility:  Applicants must be Chinese, or part-Chinese ancestry, have at least a 3.3 gpa, and plan on attending a four-year university.

Requirements:  Completed application, FAFSA student aid report, two letters of recommendation, official transcript, and a personal statement.

MARINE CORPS SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION (MARCH 1)

Eligibility:  Applicants must be a dependent of a Marine or Navy Corpsman who served in a Marine unit with a minimum gpa of 2.0.

HICKAM OFFICERS’ SPOUSES’ CLUB (MARCH 1)

Eligibility:  Open to seniors who are military dependents with a current identification and privilege card. Sponsors of the applicant must meet ONE of the following eligibility requirements: Active duty U.S. Military member currently assigned to Hawaii, Active duty U.S. Military Member on a remote assignment from Hawaii, Retired U.S. Military member, Full-time Hawaii National Guard member, Full-time U.S. Military Reserve member, or Deceased U.S. Military member with applicant residing in Hawaii.

Requirements:  Completed application, official transcript, two letters of recommendation, and essay.

ARMY ENGINEER MEMORIAL AWARDS/ARMY ENGINEER SPOUSES’ CLUB AWARD (MARCH 1)

Eligibility: Open to seniors whose sponsor is a member of the Army Engineer Spouses’ Club, U.S. Army Engineer, or current Department of the Army employee of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

GERALDINE K MORRIS AWARD (MARCH 1)

Eligibility: Open to seniors who will be majoring in nursing, and whose parent, sponsor, or legal guardian is a member of the Army Engineer Spouses’ Club, U.S. Army Engineer, or current Department of the Army employee of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

FILIPINO WOMEN’S LEAGUE SCHOLARSHIP (MARCH 5)

Scholarship amount $1500

Eligibility: This scholarship is open to seniors of Filipino ancestry, with a 3.5 gpa or higher. Students must also plan to attend a college or university here in Hawaii.

Requirements:  Completed application, official transcripts, tax return forms, essay, and two letters of recommendation.

AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MILITARY COMPTROLLERS ALOHA CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP (MARCH 8)

Eligibility: Applicants must be a senior entering a field of study directly related to financial/resource management.

Requirements: Completed application, two letters of recommendation and official transcripts.  Application must be submitted in Word format.
